The Old Hardware Store

The Old Hardware Store is housed in an 1878 lime-stone building on Main Street of a community of about 1600. The building has housed a hardware store since 1885. It was recognized by the Harvey County Historical Society as a historical site in 2005. The current owner of 15 years, Margaret Kraisinger, has restored the building to what it would have looked like in 1916, when Warren cabinets were installed.

 

We still run the store as a hardware store but specialize in architectural and furniture hardware from the 1870s to 1970s. The Old Hardware Store has one of the largest selections of antique hardware in the mid-west.
