For Golfers, the Omni Homestead golf courses test all skill levels. The Old Course whose first tee is the oldest in continuous use in the United States was built in 1892 and expanded to 18 holes in 1901. The Cascades Course is ranked among the top 100 U.S. courses by both Golf Digest and Golf magazines. It has hosted numerous USGA championships including the U.S. Men’s and Women’s Amateurs, the U.S. Women’s Open, the U.S. Mid-Amateur, and the 2004 NCAA Men’s Championship. The Omni Homestead Ski Resort is the second oldest alpine ski resort in the Southern United States. Its slope is serviced by 3 ski lifts, including a double chairlift which accesses the intermediate and advance terrain at the top of the hill and 2 surface lifts which serve beginner ski runs at the bottom.
